Gower Coffee Cart

My name is Anna Luporini, the daughter of Marcus & Louise, directors of the Kardomah and Gower Coffee.

From a young age I was always helping in our family business, The Kardomah in Swansea. Check out our Instagram page here

I always dreamt of owning my own coffee business one day.

Then came Covid! Over lockdown I used my time to start up a jewellery business Anna Luporini (@lupojewellery), checkout our Instagram page here.

The jewellery range was a massive success, and I used the funds to convert an old rice horsebox that was rotting in a field into a work of art!

In 2021 my dream came true and I opened mobile coffee shop, the Gower Coffee Cart. Check out our Instagram page here.

The aim was to create a community serving high quality coffee at an affordable price along with a friendly and smiley service.

Gower Coffee Cart has been a such a fantastic journey, managing 3 seasonal pitches in Parkmill Carpark, Singleton Park & now currently Murton Carpark.

With fixed pitches being so seasonal I needed to find alternative ways to keep the business ticking over so decided to try some festivals and branch out a little. (Work hard play hard 😊)

The Abergavenny Food Fesitval was an amazing experience, and a completely new way of working and operation compared to my regular locations.

The Sisters Of Send event in the Afan Valley was another highlight. It was amazing being part of an event centered around empowering women.

From my current location at Murton Carpark, we are serving a range of drinks 7 days a week, light bites & sweet treats.

I absolutely love this spot – there’s lots of passing trade & lots of lovely customers to chat to throughout the day.

We serve the Kardomah, Crema Blend from Gower Coffee of course, it’s one of my personal favourites.

I love how smooth & creamy the espressos come out.

We cater for everyone with decaf options & alternative milks available!

All of our cups & lids are biodegradable, and we encourage the use of reusable mugs, so you can bring your own.

I use the British made Fracino Dual Fuel Espresso Machine, its a great bit of kit & perfect for my needs and as a mobile catering business.

This coffee machine can run off electricity or gas, I mainly use it on the gas so I can deal with a higher output when things get busy.

I have followed the family tradition and use the SanremoSR50 grinder, a reliable and consistent performer that has never let me down.

Gower Coffee Cart has allowed me to follow my dream of running my own business whilst maintaining the work life balance I’ve always craved for.

Working hard through Spring, Summer and Autumn allows the time to travel during the winter months and avoid the cold!

I absolutely love living in the Gower, I love the slow pace & the community: I feel very fortunate to have been brought up in such a special place.
